Ocala/Gainesville Attorney- Unpaid Wages/Overtime

Two-Week Pay Period

Most employers run payroll on a certain and look at the final numbers of the combined two weeks.  This is improper.  Overtime should be determined on each individual workweek. I f an employee has worked over 40 hours in one week and not the next, overtime should still be paid.

It is prohibited to average workweeks together to avoid overtime payment.
